So I just tried using painters tape to tack my vinyl down to the board and guess what, it worked! Not sure what else to try though. If you do cut through the tape and paper, it is easy to remove the tape from the die cut. She could easily do this by wiping her mat clean with baby wipes.

Oh well, pinned and will use this when my mat needs a refresh. I bought a new mat today to get some things done on time, but I will be using Goof Off on the old one and trying another one of these to get it to re-stick.
I was so happy with the results. What can I use to clean the residual ink off of the little rubber o-rings on the roller? While we appreciate every single one of them it’s nearly impossible to respond back to all of them, all the time.
However, I need tips on how to treat the mats that are too, too, too sticky. We get several hundred comments a day. I haven’t tried it yet but I once worked as an architect and we used a lot of reworkable fixative on the surface of all kinds of materials building models and such.
It is cheap and you can used it over and over.
What does restick mean?
What do you do to re-stick or clean your Cutting Mat? If too sticky, pat your hands on the mat all over. Tried something a little different and it worked even better than the spray. Then I applied the glue and let it dry over night.
restici Run your hands over your cutting mat. It did re-stick the mat, however it also left sticky residue on the back of my vinyl backing. Wait for minutes for the spray adhesive to dry and really stick into your Cricut mat. So I decided, I was going to try and get them sticky again.
